How Is Unia Organised?

A union of members

Unia is a democratic organisation. Its active members decide on all key political and strategic issues. Its supreme governing body is the congress, which is held every four years and elects the Central Supervisory Board and the Management Board. Between congresses, the assembly of delegates represents the congress as the highest managing body.

Composition of Unia committees

Under the terms of Unia's constitution, congress delegates and assembly delegates must reflect the composition of the organisation's members, in particular with respect to sectors, nationality and age.

At least one-third women

At least 33% of congress delegates and of assembly of delegates, as well as elected representatives on the Central Supervisory Board and Management Board, must be female. Men and women are represented on the organs of the sectors and sections proportionate to their ratio in the respective group.
